♻ Cardboard Envelopes
All our outer packaging is made from cardboard — meaning that they’re strong, biodegradable, and fully recyclable. They’re designed to protect your books in transit while minimising environmental impact, and they replace the need for plastic mailers entirely. Every envelope can be reused or recycled with regular paper waste, supporting our goal of a cleaner production chain.
📦 Kraft Paper Tape
All Aethelos parcels are sealed with kraft paper tape — a durable, plastic-free alternative that is both recyclable and compostable. It adheres to the package securely without synthetic adhesives or laminates. This small change alone prevents hundreds of metres of plastic tape from entering waste streams every year. This also make the outer cardboard packaging much easier to recycle.
🐝 Honeycomb Wrap Packaging
To cushion our books with larger orders, we use honeycomb kraft wrapping — a biodegradable paper mesh that replaces bubble wrap. It’s lightweight, strong, and made entirely from renewable materials. It also takes up signifcantly less space than standard paper padding. Every layer ensures that your order arrives safely without compromising on sustainability.
